December already!??!

How on earth did that happen? Where has 2010 gone?

We've had further, dramatic lifestyle changes this year. Learnt a stack of new skills and compiled a wish list of skills & tasks we want to accomplish in 2011.

The top 10 of my list is-
  1. Grow enough of any one food to preserve some. (I have Vacola goodies ready waiting for action)
  2. Build a food stockpile of at least 14 days supply. (Just in case...)
  3. Create a seed collection and actually remember to plant them out in time instead of resorting to boring run of the mill seedlings.
  4. Overhaul the backyard to get rid of grass and plant at least 6 fruit trees.
  5. Redesign front yard to include natives and native food plants.
  6. Learn to sew! (It's been on my list forever but never accomplished!)
  7. Sit still long enough to knit a lace shawl (Just because...)
  8. Learn to make Feta cheese.
  9. Exercise for 30 minutes a day 5 times a week.
  10. Save $2000.
These are not resolutions... more like challenges for the coming year. Some I'll cross off earlier than others, more are added as I think of them and some are removed as sanity prevails and I realise that my Wonderwoman costume no longer fits! LOL

Have you thought about all you've achieved this year or do you spend too much time thinking about what you didnt get done? What's going on your challenge list for 2011? Am I the only freak figuring this out in December? (Actually... dont answer that last one!)

I'm not real sure about achievements this year. I managed to get myself retrenched after almost 17 years in the same job, I lost a large portion of my payout on a scam, ran out of money and had to move to a new town where the rents are cheaper and now we can't afford the new tires for the car or the servicing or any number of other things that we need.

I do hope that 2011 is much better.
